Spal USA is a line of electric Cooling Fans developed to improve airflow in high static pressure applications such as racing, performance street and engine swaps. Cooling is a major issue with us when it comes to building up hotter engines, racing and global warming. SPAL has introduced AP-90 High Output (H.O.) Series electric fans to improve airflow in high static pressure situations across the spectrum of racing engine applications,on-and off-highway and heavy duty vehicles. The demand for better air cooling through the radiator core, performance has never been stronger, especially with the increasing demand for better emissions and fuel economy, High static pressure results when a large cooling air mass is forced through a single or multi-stacked radiator core. As the cooling air is restricted by the density of the radiator core, a pressure differential is created and the cooling fan must work harder to overcome it. High static pressures can also occur when a radiator core has tightly packed fins over a small area.

Featuring a proprietary new curved blade design, the new AP-90 H.O. Series cooling fans are available in 11", 12" and 16" sizes. Throughout 2008, SPAL will  introduce additional H.O. Series cooling fans.What's critical to understand is that Spal's Cooling fans hold their cooling airflow rating in very high static pressure.Cooling Fans length, height and width specifications as well as maximum airflow ratings - measured in cubic feet per minute (cfm) - are as follows:

11" Fans = 11.7"x11.9"x4.39" (1,604 cfm)

12" Fans  = 13.0"x13.0"x4.39" (1,870 cfm)

16" Fans  = 15.7"x15.7"x3.74" (1,953 cfm)

Like all SPAL fans, the AP-90 models feature rigid, glass-filled nylon blades - dynamically balanced internally and externally to minimize vibration. The cooling fans motors are sealed and individually balanced, and the entire assembly is high heat resistant, meaning the fan can be expected  to outlive the vehicle in which it is installed.
